Drum’s £250,000 facelift is now complete. After a three year refurbishment programme the vessel is in pristine condition, both inside and out and guests can now sit back, relax and enjoy the ride in luxury and style.

Over the last few years during the winter months, the Skipper and Crew of "Arnold Clark Drum" have been busy improving and preserving her to ensure that, she not only continues to look her best but she also provides more comfort and luxury fo rher guests, allowing them to experience this famous yacht in all its glory. Recently the Drum crew have completed a complete refit. Along with the constant upgrading of safety equipment and other essential behind the scenes maintenance, she has also seen the following improvement work completed on her for the pleasure of her guests.

 

Luxurious Comfort

 

A fully upgraded interior with soft furnishings and home comforts will ensure maximum comfort and relaxation whilst on board. Our upgraded electronics, inclusive of a 32" flat screen television will allow you to watch footage of Arnold Clark Drum from years gone by.

 

Re-Paint

Drums hull and deck were repainted to continue to allow her to look in pristine condition.

 

Dining at Sea

The installation of a grand 12 seater dining table for those days where al fresco dining is not possible, guests can now enjoy their breakfast and lunch in comfort.

 

Remodelling

 

A large remodelling took place on Drums main saloon interior to allow for the installation of a new engine, an improved galley area for the preparing of food and more modern toilet as well as more comfortable sleeping arrangements.

 

Running Rigging

All of Drums running rigging has been replaced with the latest top of the range spectra rope.

 

Sails

Drums sails are being systematically replaced which allows us to bring out some old forgotten favourites giving you the chance to take a trip down memory lane.

 

Deck Gear

The deck gear has also been replaced with new state of the art equipment to help make Drum even more of a joy to sail.

 

Guest Clothing

Over the past couple of years we have been able to offer you sailing suits / oilskins to keep you warm and dry. We have invested once more in these to provide you with improved quality of clothing on board.

 

Boarding Equipment

To improve the accessibility of Drum we have built new boarding steps and also invested in a new boarding ladder enabling guests to climb aboard with ease.
